Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
ManjiTV v2.8.0 is distributed officially as an Android APK only. This Privacy Policy describes how the ManjiTV application and https://manjitv.in/ handle information when you download, install and use the app. ManjiTV acts as an application/interface that integrates third-party providers and extensions — it does not host, upload, store, own or control the third-party video/media content made available through those providers.
By using ManjiTV you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
2. Information collected
ManjiTV does not require you to create a traditional email/password account to browse content. Information processed depends on how you use the app:
- Provided by you in Watch Together: display name you enter for a room, chat messages, reactions and voice data if you enable voice chat.
- Automatically collected technical/usage information (described below) via Firebase services integrated in the app.
- Device permissions you grant (e.g., microphone for voice chat, notifications, biometric). Only the capability is described in section 9; the app does not claim every permission is requested from every user.
We do not ask for payment information inside the app.
3. Automatically collected technical/usage information
Through Firebase services, the app may process app-usage and device-related signals such as app and OS version, device model, language, country, session duration, screens visited, and interactions with features. This includes custom events implemented in the codebase such as screen views, APK download interactions (tapping the Download ManjiTV APK v2.8.0 button on https://manjitv.in/), episode playback via streaming, Watch Together room creation and joining, and media playback in rooms. This information is used for analytics, stability and configuration as described in the following sections. ManjiTV does not provide video downloading or offline content storage; all episode playback is streaming only. For precise details about what Google processes via Firebase, refer to Google’s own documentation linked below rather than any assumption in this policy.
4. Firebase Analytics
The Android app integrates Firebase Analytics for application analytics and custom events. Firebase Analytics may collect and process technical and usage information as configured by the SDK, including the events listed in section 3 above.
Because the exact data fields, retention and processing are controlled by Google, please review:
Analytics data is collected on an aggregated basis to understand feature usage and improve the app. We do not claim the service is anonymous where Google’s documentation may describe identifiers that persist on device.
Website Google Analytics (separate from Firebase Analytics)
The website at https://manjitv.in/ uses Google Analytics (gtag.js) with measurement ID G-7PYEWFR4M3 for website analytics. This is separate from Firebase Analytics used in the Android application. The website tag is loaded once via https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=G-7PYEWFR4M3 with gtag('config', 'G-7PYEWFR4M3'). It may process page views and interactions with the Download APK CTA (clicks on the ManjiTV v2.8.0 download buttons) through standard page/interaction analytics. We do not use this tag to collect unnecessary personal information. You may opt out via your browser settings or Google’s opt-out tools where available.
5. Firebase Crashlytics
The app integrates Firebase Crashlytics for crash and error reporting. When the app crashes or encounters an error, Crashlytics may collect installation identifiers, device and OS information, stack traces and related diagnostic signals to diagnose stability issues. Refer to Firebase Crashlytics documentation and Google’s privacy documentation for how Google processes this information.
6. Firebase Authentication
The app uses Firebase Authentication with anonymous authentication for Watch Together sessions. This creates a temporary anonymous identifier to authenticate your session with the Firebase Realtime Database for room operations without requiring an email/password account. Anonymous identifiers are handled per Firebase Authentication’s behavior as documented by Google.

7. Firebase Realtime Database / Watch Together
Watch Together uses Firebase Realtime Database and Firebase Authentication. When you create or join a room, the app stores room-related data in the Realtime Database, including room identifiers, display names, member presence, synchronized playback state, chat messages, reactions, member management and voice-chat signalling where enabled.
Room IDs and display names you provide are visible to other participants you invite to the same room. Chats and reactions are visible inside that room. We do not claim rooms are completely private or anonymous unless the implementation guarantees that — rooms are accessible to anyone with the room code, and data passes through Google’s Firebase infrastructure subject to Google’s policies.

8. Remote Config
The app uses Firebase Remote Config to remotely control application configuration (such as feature flags or behaviour). Remote Config may process installation identifiers and app instance information to deliver configuration. This service does not by itself display third-party media, but it influences how the app behaves. Refer to Remote Config documentation.
9. Permissions
The app may request capabilities described below. We do not claim every permission is always requested from every user; requests depend on your device, OS version and the feature you use.
- Internet / network access: required for streaming, provider resolution and Firebase services.
- Notifications: used for application notifications (updates, room invites where implemented).
- Microphone: only for Watch Together voice chat where enabled. Audio is not accessed unless you choose to use voice chat.
- Biometric authentication: used for the app’s biometric lock/security feature where enabled on your device.
- Package / app querying and storage-related permissions: used for querying installed apps, storage access and app update/install flows where applicable on your Android version.
- App update / install permissions: used to check for and install updates to ManjiTV v2.8.0.
You can manage permissions in Android Settings. Denying a permission may limit the associated feature.
10. Third-party providers/extensions
The app includes pre-built and third-party provider/extension integrations that resolve media sources. These providers are operated by third parties, not by ManjiTV. ManjiTV does not claim ownership or control over them.
Providers may change, stop working, become unavailable, or provide content that ManjiTV does not control. ManjiTV’s team does not create or guarantee third-party provider content. When you use a provider, your request may be sent to that provider’s servers according to that provider’s own practices.
11. Third-party links/content
ManjiTV may link to or display metadata and streams originating from third-party websites and servers. ManjiTV does not control third-party websites, servers, metadata, media or advertisements and is not responsible for their content or practices. Their use is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Advertising, if applicable
The codebase contains advertising functionality. Where ads are displayed, the ad provider may collect and process device and usage information per its own policy to serve and measure ads. We do not claim “no ads.” For provider-specific data practices, refer to the provider’s own privacy policy displayed within the app or on the provider’s website.
13. How information is used
Information described above is used to: provide and maintain the app (including streaming navigation and Watch Together), measure usage and stability via Analytics/Crashlytics, deliver room synchronization via Realtime Database and Auth, control configuration via Remote Config, and communicate via notifications where permitted. We do not sell personal information.
14. Data retention
Information processed via Firebase services is retained according to Firebase/Google retention and your use of the app. Anonymous authentication identifiers persist until the app data is cleared or the anonymous session is replaced. Room and chat data remains while the room is active and for a limited period thereafter as needed to provide the service and then is deleted or becomes inaccessible per database rules. For exact Google retention periods, refer to Google’s documentation.
15. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information in transit and as stored via Firebase, but no method is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, room codes and display names appropriately restricted.
16. Children’s privacy
ManjiTV is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent/guardian and believe information has been provided, contact us to request review. Media available via third-party providers may not be appropriate for all audiences.
17. User choices/rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have choices or rights regarding information about you. You can: control Android permissions, limit ad tracking in Android settings, clear app data to remove anonymous identifiers and cached data, and contact us for privacy requests described below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app (ManjiTV v2.8.0 and later) or services. The effective date at the top will be updated. Material changes may be communicated via the site or in-app notice. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
